This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory -- maybe something with a multi-billion dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it's made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think that multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you are mouthing your words as you read this.

That's not even a super-promotional image, that's exactly what it looked like for me when I poured it... I was impressed, it's just a good-looking beer. It starts a bit bitter, almost spicy, but it's not overpowering, and not really comparable to something like a super-hopped double IPA. The bitterness was really only noticeable the first few sips, after that it was a fairly easy-drinking beer that I enjoyed. Wasn't GREAT, but certainly good. And it wasn't even too expensive, under $5 for the 22 oz. bottle coming from San Diego.
If you're at all interested in experimenting with new and interesting beers, I'd recommend giving Arrogant Bastard a shot. Maybe split it with a friend if you're unsure about it.
